Lincolnshire Group – March  Report 2026   Shoebox Race Night   Another fantastic evening, great turn out of both Lincs. & Yorks. members with their Shoebox Racers. This was the second year of the new track layout designed by Ben & Chris Gadsby. This is an evening that has always been well supported with much good humour and banter between the participants. Whilst Pete and Sue Rowlands were enjoying their annual fix of winter sunshine, 20 of us gathered on a wet, dismal evening to hear Mike Credland deliver his well researched, illustrated talk on " Aviation Connections to Lincolnshire in the Second World War" (picture below). Following conversations with Rodney and Colin, we now have the details of the arrangements for Peter’s funeral. The funeral service will be held at 2.00 pm on 12th February at Alford Crematorium, Station Road, Alford, LN13 9LH. As Peter liked the colour red, it has been suggested that people wear a red accessory (for example, a tie or scarf). It is with great sadness that we share the news we received from Rodney this morning that Peter Davis  has passed away. He was unsure whether Peter’s passing occurred late last night or in the early hours of this morning. For those who would like to send condolences to Betty, Colin, and Sue  (Colin’s sister), letters may be sent to: Maple Cottage, Tetford, Horncastle, Lincs, LN9 6QQ.
