May Meander Sunday 11th May 2025
We travelled 38 miles on country lanes, starting at Fulbeck Craft Centre at the heart of Fulbeck Manor and ending up at The Red Lion in Digby for a lovely lunch.
Fulbeck Manor is a beautiful Georgian/Tudor property, sitting within breathtaking grounds, making a fantastic backdrop for the Sevens starting point.
We travelled onto Byard’s Leap a hamlet in the parish of Cranwell, from there we passed RAF Cranwell, with a view of the iconic college hall which was opened in 1934 by Edward Prince of Wales…then off again past South Rauceby Hall and beyond there to some very scenic places.
The run was beautiful; some areas were new to a lot of us with such picturesque and historical places that we will definitely return to.
A big thank you to Heather Maitland and Kurt Sauter for putting together this route, which we all know takes a lot time and work to ensure a fun and informative day for all.
