Lincolnshire Group – June Report 2026
New Lincs. Group Secretary required...
In 2024 I gave 2 years notice that after 15 years I wished to relinquish my post
and asking for someone to step forward. However, no one did and I have
carried on during 2026.
In January 2027 I will be 80 years old and am definitely resigning my role. I will most probably not be at the AGM [ Jan. 13th 2027 ] but will be somewhere in the world celebrating my special birthday.
The ball is now firmly in the court of you the members to step forward and for
one of you to offer to run the Club. I am perfectly willing to continue organising
both the Sevens to the Sea and the annual Garden Party, also storage of our
A7 assets at my property is not an issue.
May Meander
Heather and Kurt did a excellent job of organising this run, thank you.
We started from Doddington Hall near Lincoln then taking a scenic 38 mile route
through Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire finishing with a wonderful Sunday
luncheon at The Durham Ox in Orston.
The run also included a brief stop to admire the newly opened “On Freedom Wings Sculpture” of a Lancaster bomber which now greets everyone as they enter the county on the A46. As
well as route instructions we were given four A4 pages of information and
points of interest en route which were highly informative.
Please look at the photo's of the day on our website.
Yorkshire Shoebox Race Night
Check out the Lincs A7 website for information and photos on what was a very
action packed fun evening.
Bill Dixon [ Pre-War Austin 7 Club member No. 27 ]
Bill had an exceptionally good turnout of Austins and members to bid a fond
farewell. Bill will be greatly missed by all.
