Lincolnshire Group – July Report 2025
As I write this report I have a busy time ahead. BBQ next Saturday followed by the
Cumbria Run and then off to Spain for all of August in the Austin 12 Eton - non-stop
Austineering fun!!!!
I am now able to inform you that we have a new Webmistress namely, Margaret Clarke.
Brenda has finally retired after many years of sterling service for the Club. In the early
years we were very grateful to utilise part of a website hosted by Ed Davies son. Albeit
there were times when Brenda was pulling her hair out trying to up load photos etc,
However, now is the time to move on and we have a new website which has just gone
“live’:-
It will be much easier to upload photos and video. Also, members can comment on events
etc. The old website will still be there with a link to our new website. I look forward to it
going from strength to strength.
As you can see below we have a full calendar for September, get these dates in your
Austin diary now.
Dunholme Lodge
As per previous years the gardens were spectacular & in full bloom. The WW2 museum
exhibitions are always awe inspiring too. Eight members arrived in their Austin's
including new members Charles Lyford and his wife who have moved up from Dorset,
also David Lasham driving his brothers Austin Seven. They were made welcome and
have had their email addresses added to the Mailchimp list. I am sure we will be seeing
more of them in the future. Numbers were down because a goodly number of Lincs Group members were attending the National event at Beaulieu.

Minster Garage, Southwell – Joint Meet
Ten Austin's is evidence and a goodly number of Midland & Sheffield members swelling
the ranks of the Lincolnshire Group. Sam made us most welcome with free tea & coffee.
It has to be said Sue Rowlands failed to get her leg over! { In the Wragg Racer }. Thanks go
to Ben Gadsby for arranging the visit as an alternative to our annual Wellow village.
